Hamish Howell was raised locally before moving to Melbourne to study. While in Melbourne, Hamish completed a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Criminology) and a Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne, before obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

After being admitted to Legal Practice in 2026, Hamish began working as a solicitor at Melville Orton and Lewis. Hamish currently practices in the areas of Criminal Law, Family Law and Wills and Estates. Outside of work, Hamish enjoys playing soccer for the Hamilton Soccer Club.
