Christy is from a local family and moved away to complete a Bachelor of Arts/ Business at the now Southern Cross University in Ballarat.  As part of that degree she majored in Japanese and attended Hakodate University in Japan for a period of 10 months.

Upon completion of her degree, she worked for Allianz Insurance Workers Compensation Underwriting before returning to Hamilton to work as a Law Clerk under the guidance of local solicitors at the time Mark Stratmann and Geoff Simpson.  Whilst working as a full time Law Clerk she completed her Bachelor of Laws by correspondence with the University of New England.

After an extended period of leave to raise a family Christy has returned to work in the areas of Wills and Estates, Powers of Attorney and Conveyancing.
